لإThe head of the Parliamentary Transportation and Communications Committee, Representative Zahra Al-Bajari, Today (Wednesday) called for an urgent investigation into the file of repeated fire incidents at Iraqi airports and to hold the negligent accountable. Al-Bajari said, according to a statement by her media office, that the recurrence of arson incidents in the halls of Iraqi airports needs a broad investigation and a quick replacement of officials and their punishment after the negligent party is proven. Al-Bajari pointed out the importance of revealing the reasons for the recurrence of deliberate fires in the lounges of Iraqi airports, which comes from mismanagement and the selection of officials far from experience and specialization, indicating that these lounges, which are called VIP, were handed over with suspicious participation contracts to weak companies that do not represent any level of service and are far from the name above. And she added, that she had earlier sent an official letter to the concerned government agencies in airport management to investigate the recurrence of fires and poor services that negatively reflected on the reality of Iraqi airports, calling for rapid measures to be taken to address those failures.
