Sheikh Khazali calls for confronting the extremist behavior of the Taliban government by denying women their right to education

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali Today (Thursday) deplored the decision of the Taliban government to close universities to women and deny them the right to education in Afghanistan. His Eminence Sheikh Khazali said in a tweet via “Twitter”, “Our true Islamic religion urges knowledge and learning without restriction or condition between women and men, because knowledge and learning are the basis for building a person, and thus building a society in which women are an essential and pivotal part of it. His Eminence added, “Therefore, we deplore and reject the arbitrary decision, contrary to the teachings of our true Islamic religion, and to the most basic principles of human rights, issued by the Taliban government in Afghanistan, to close universities to women and deny them the right to education, which came after a previous decision to prevent the opening of middle and high schools for girls. His Eminence continued, “These unjust decisions that deprive women of their great role on the scientific, cultural and educational level, and in the various fields of work that are compatible with their nature that God created, and from here, we call on Islamic and international organizations to confront this rejected extremist behavior and pressure the Taliban government to back down from it.” This decision is in defense of the rights of the Afghan Muslim people to a free and dignified life.
