Sheikh Khazali receives a delegation of Shiite scholars of Afghanistan and affirms Iraq’s support for the oppressed in the world
The General Secretary of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad today (Wednesday) the delegation of the Council of Shiite Scholars in Afghanistan.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the situation in Afghanistan in general, the situation of the Shiites of Ahl al-Bayt “Peace Be Upon them”, and the challenges that exist there, especially after the collapse of the previous regime.
For his part, His Eminence Sheikh Khazali affirmed that Iraq, people and government, stand with all the oppressed people in the world, foremost among them are the followers of Ahl al-Bayt ” Peace Be Upon them ” in Afghanistan, and Iraq’s important role in the issues of the region, and its ability to play this role in serving the causes of the nation and the oppressed peoples.
His Eminence Sheikh also referred to the importance of the role played by the Supreme Religious Authority in preserving Iraq and civil peace, and stressed the need to abide by its commandments in Afghanistan as well.
