Sheik Al-Khazali welcomes the recent efforts to find a way out of the political blockage

on Friday the Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, welcomed the recent efforts to find a way out of the political blockage, while urging the Shiite and Kurdish blocks to consider the Sunni experience when choosing the speaker of parliament.

On Twitter Sheik Qais Al-Khazali stated ‘Time has shown that the process of choosing the speaker of the house of representatives was quick because the Sunni blocks consulted and came to an understanding among each other. We believe that this should lead Kurdish political power to realize that there needs to be an effort on their part to make a constructive dialogue and reach mutual understanding concerning the post of president of the republic.

In addition his Eminence called on the Shiite political power to agree on a prime minister candidate (in accordance with the existing political custom), so that the government cabinet could be formed as soon as possible.

Sheikh Khazali also considered the formation of the government not an end as such, rather a means through which we could provide proper services to the citizens whose economic situation has been deteriorating ,a situation which obligates everyone to overcome many considerations and minor interests to serve our nation.

Sheik expressed his satisfaction with the recent efforts that might help finding a way out of the political stalemate.
