On the 34th anniversary of the Halabja massacre Sheik Qais Al-Khazali offers his condolences to the Iraqi nation

On its 34th anniversary ,Today on the 16th of March, The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, recalled the Halabja massacre which was carried out by the criminal groups of the ousted Saddamist regime using chemical weapons.

His Eminence Sheikh Khazali said in a tweet “ It is with a mixture of pain ,melancholy and anger , we are reminded of the Martyrs of Halabja massacre , those citizens who were bombed by the criminal groups of the ousted Saddamist regime with chemical weapons, which led to the martyrdom of thousands of innocent people from our wounded nation, old men , woman and children were killed in a flagrant violation of all the Islamic , national or humanitarian values. The massacre was part of a series of atrocities and genocides committed by the tyrant’s oppressive regime against the Iraqis.

Furthermore , Sheikh Al-Khazali offered condolences and sympathy to the families of the righteous martyrs and to all Iraqis of all backgrounds and sects, he also invited everyone to recall this painful incident and prioritize it ,especially at a time when we are aspiring to build a state of institutions , law and respect , away from any dictatorial tendencies where free nations hopes of living in dignity and safety is lost because of these regimes greed and criminality.

Moreover, His Eminence expressed his hope that national political forces will work together for our country’s security and peace.
