The Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, offered his condolences for the loss of the Patriarch of one of the most ancient churches in Iraq and the world, the Eastern Church .
By dawn on Monday ,Sheikh Khazali wrote in a tweet, that was followed by a statement on Al-Ahed website, , “Our deepest and sincerest condolences are sent to the monks and fathers of the ancient Eastern Church in Iraq on the death of Patriarch Mar Eddai , head of one of the most ancient churches in Iraq and the world.”
His Eminence added; “As we mourn this loss with you, we pray to God Almighty that he grant you patience and solace, and that his journey of brotherhood and love will serve as an inspiration to the righteous”.
