During his meeting with Abdul Mahdi …Sheikh Khazali emphasized the importance of addressing the economic crisis and taking advantage of the high oil prices

The Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, visited Mr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi at his office in Baghdad during his Ramadan tours.

During the meeting, they discussed the overall political and economic situation in Iraq and the possible strategies to get out of the current political impasse.

The meeting focused on addressing the country’s economic crisis as well as investing financial liquidity that has resulted from the rise in oil prices.

Furthermore, There was strong emphasis between the two parties on the importance of improving the economic situation in Iraq, and that this must be a top priority for the next administration whoever that may be, as well as resolving the issue of Chinese agreements, especially those related to the Silk Road, should be a priority away from political strife, and that this must have a national and sovereign basis.

Last but not least , the two commended the national efforts to advance the Silk Road project and the Chinese agreement, and the continuous education of the dimensions of this great project and its great importance, which will contribute to pushing the wheel of the Iraqi economy forward.
