On Thursday , The Secretary General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, recalled with great sorrow the crimes of extermination committed by the ousted regime in the Anfal Campaign against the Kurdish people, while calling on the Kurdish national political forces to unify their stances and reject all forms of dictatorship.

Sheikh Al-Khazali said in a tweet ” At this time in history , we remember with great sorrow the brutal genocide committed by Saddam’s ousted regime with the so-called “Anfal Campaign” against Kurdish people with abhorrent racial motives that led to the death and injury of Hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians”.

Furthermore he added “ We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt consolations  to the families of the martyrs  who have been the victims of saddam’s crimes, and also to the Kurdish nation as a whole, and we call on the Kurdish national political forces to unite in opposition to dictatorship in all its forms and titles ,to protect the security of our country in general and of the Kurdistan region in particular,, and to be aware of the plans of enemies that want evil and harm to our country and our dear nation.”
