The General Secretary of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq His Eminence Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad today (Sunday) Mrs. Jessica Sfarstrom, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Iraq.
And His Eminence Sheikh Al-Khazali indicated his indignant position and his strong resentment regarding the disgraceful attack on the sanctity of the Noble Qur’an in Sweden and the need for real measures from the Swedish government to prevent the recurrence of these disgraceful acts in the future.
While the Swedish ambassador renewed the Swedish government’s apology for this incident, noting that these actions violate the policy and approach of the Swedish government based on respect for religions and beliefs and avoid provoking strife and intellectual, ideological and other sensitivities.
During the meeting, they also discussed relations between the two countries and means of cooperation to develop them to serve both parties.
