Sheikh Khazali and Blaskhart stress the need for all parties to stand together to overcome political obstacles

The General Secretary of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, stressed today (Wednesday) the importance of supporting the government in implementing its ministerial program, during his reception with the United Nations representative, Ms. Jeanine Plaskhart, in his office in Baghdad.
A statement by the media office of His Eminence Sheikh Khazali stated that during the meeting, they discussed the most important political developments and the latest developments in the Iraqi and regional political affairs and the role of the UN organization in supporting Iraq to overcome the challenges that the Iraqi political process is going through.
His Eminence stressed the importance of supporting the government in implementing its program to achieve its desired aspirations. He also indicated the necessity of providing services as an optimal and shortest way to restore the citizen’s confidence in his political system.
The two sides also stressed the need to give attention and support to the people of Sinjar and to find adequate solutions for the return of its people by providing the necessary infrastructure and services for that.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides stressed the need for all parties to stand together to overcome the political and economic obstacles that this government is going through, and to give priority to the public interest over factional interests in order to advance a political, economic and service reality that is in the interest of the Iraqi citizen.
