A member of the political bureau of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Saad Al-Saadi, today (Monday) responded to the statements of the advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, regarding his description of Iraq as an “invader and occupier,” while indicating that measures would be taken against those who harm the prestige of the state and the military system.
Al-Saadi said, in a press interview, that “his bloc condemns what was stated by the advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, which is unacceptable”.
He added, “These statements are an insult to the Iraqi government and the entire political process, and they insult the military system and the valiant Iraqi army, which has proven that it represents the nation, made sacrifices, and defended Iraqi sovereignty side by side with the people of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the major battle against the terrorist ISIS gangs”.
Al-Saadi called on “the regional government to respect Iraqi sovereignty and the prestige of the state and not allow anyone to underestimate the Iraqi government or the military system.”
He stressed that “the coalition of state administration and al’atar altansiqei will discuss these statements, and if they are proven correct, there will be measures against anyone who harms the military system and the prestige of the state”.
Earlier today, the advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Karwan Muhammad Saber, described Iraq as an “invader and occupier,” after the people of Kirkuk and the Federal Court prevented the implementation of the decision to evacuate the joint operations headquarters and hand it over to the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
