Sheikh Khazali confirms his support for making the city of Tal Afar a governorate to be added to the rest of the Iraqi governorates.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, called today (Monday) on the people of Tal Afar to unite their voice and elect their representatives to the Nineveh Provincial Council. While he stressed the work to make the Tal Afar Council different from its predecessors in order to restore the balance of governance in Nineveh, he expressed his support for making the city of Tal Afar A governorate added to the rest of the Iraqi governorates.
Sheikh Khazali said in a speech during his attendance at the electoral conference of the Al-Hadbaa National Alliance in Tal Afar District, that his visit to the city of Tal Afar is the first after the liberation battles and coincides with the anniversary of victory and liberation, expressing his great pleasure at being in the city of martyrs and sacrifice.
His Eminence added, “Today we remember our martyrs, our wounded, and our mujahideen, thanks to whom we live in security and stability throughout Iraq,” stressing that on this day we must remember our oppressed captive Turkmen sisters and revive their oppression that was forgotten and many tried to ignore after the Takfirist ISIS killed the Turkmen women after their captivity.
His Eminence pointed out that life has returned to the judiciary, better than it was in 2014, and that the blood of the martyrs has washed and purified everything, and the awareness of the people of Tal Afar is sufficient to achieve stability.
His Eminence stressed the necessity of unifying the word and electing the people of Tal Afar for their representatives from the people of the judiciary to represent them in the provincial council, stressing the work to make the Tal Afar council different from its predecessor and restore the balance of governance in Nineveh Governorate, because it is not permissible again for any party to dominate at the expense of the original Nineveh Governorate.
His Eminence also stated the importance of widespread participation by the people of Tal Afar in the elections and that there be an electoral wedding commensurate with their sacrifices, since the percentage of participation in the elections reflects the amount of people’s confidence in the political process.
His Eminence Sheikh Khazali also called for supporting the current government by giving it the opportunity to complete its real steps in the service of all the people, and at the same time strongly called for making the city of Tal Afar a governorate to be added to the dear governorates of Iraq, and that achieving this matter is a merit, even if it is late.
His Eminence expressed his support for what was proposed by the Mayor of Tal Afar in supporting the city in completing and developing its university for the better, pointing out that the Turkmen component is an authentic component in the city of Tal Afar and we hope for all its components all the best and success.
