Al-Bajari reveals a political consensus to resolve the position of Speaker of Parliament during tomorrow’s session.

The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon Bloc, Zahra Al-Bajari, confirmed today, Tuesday, the holding of the Parliament session to choose the replacement for the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, adding that there is agreement from most political blocs to elect a new Speaker of Parliament in tomorrow’s session.
Al-Bajari said in a press interview, “Parliamentary invitations were sent to the Sunni component to attend and choose the personality of the Speaker of Parliament,” noting that “what facilitates the selection of the alternative personality from the Sunni forces is the nomination of a small number of representatives to vote on one personality”.
She continued, “A quorum for tomorrow’s session will be achieved in view of the efforts of most political blocs to resolve an alternative to the presidency of the House of Representatives,” noting that “there is agreement from most political blocs on the issue of electing a new speaker of Parliament, in order not to reach the constitutional vacuum for the position”.
