Al-Moussawi the government succeeded in accomplishing the task of holding and securing local elections.

The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon bloc, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, confirmed on Monday, the government’s success in accomplishing the task of holding and securing local elections. While he stressed the need for political forces to control the ballot boxes, he revealed the occurrence of electoral violations committed by some parties during the electoral process.
Al-Moussawi said during a televised interview that the political forces must resort to the fund only, because it is not possible for any party to achieve a percentage of half + 1 in the governorates.
Al-Moussawi pointed out that the provincial councils are a basic pillar and a very important link, and that the government accomplished the task of holding elections and succeeded in securing them, stressing that the experience of Al’atar Altansiqei is successful and there is agreement to continue it.
Al-Moussawi pointed out that there were “limited” areas that witnessed intimidation of voters, indicating that Diyala witnessed “defective” partisan behavior represented by the buying of voters’ debts by representatives in progress and sovereignty, describing these behaviors as very defective.
Al-Moussawi stated that the participation rate in Diyala reached 40%, which is good, and no defect was recorded in the work of the Commission during the general vote.
