The spokesman for the Al-Sadiqoon Bloc and Vice Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Government Program Follow-up Committee, Mohamed Al-Baldawi, confirmed on Monday that the Sudanese government created social, security and environmental stability that contributed to the success of the provincial council elections process.
Al-Baldawi said during a televised interview that the Sudanese government created social, security and environmental stability, which produced stability that the Iraqis had not witnessed in previous elections, indicating that the current elections took place in the best conditions since 2003.
He explained that the stable conditions in Salah al-Din were an incentive to participate in the elections, noting that the participation rate in Salah al-Din reached 57%.
He added that participation rates in villages and rural areas were higher than in cities, while he considered that the forces calling for a boycott affect the level of component representation.
