Al-Sultani highlights the importance of the role of provincial councils in supporting the government in implementing its program and service plans.
The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon Bloc, Suhaila Al-Sultani, stressed the importance of the presence of provincial councils in each governorate with the aim of supporting the central government in its work and its executive authority within the administrative units within the governorates.
Al-Sultani said in a press statement, “The existence of provincial councils and restarting their work has become an urgent necessity, in order to support the central government in its work and the implementation of its program, service plans and procedures in various fields”.
She added, “The reality of the country will change if trustworthy governors reach the first executive position in each governorate, as the government led by Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani needs local governments that support its work in order to provide service to the Iraqi people”.
She indicated that “the Nabni coalition participated in the elections with a number of personalities as well as other blocs, in order to form provincial councils and achieve for Iraq the prosperity and progress it desires through what local governments will do”.
