The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon and member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ali Turki Al-Jamali, confirmed on Wednesday that the local governments that will be formed in the governorates after the end of the last elections will contribute to removing obstacles in the fight against corruption.
Al-Jamali said in a press interview, “Whoever follows the government’s steps sees its seriousness in pursuing the corrupt, regardless of their affiliation”.
He added, “Some tools may be a factor obstructing the work of the Integrity Committee, and we expect that we will overcome these matters, especially after the formation of new local governments”.
Al-Jamali also pointed out that “the Integrity Committee worked seriously in following up on corruption files, and that all matters are pending before the judiciary, especially since there are files hidden from some people after the formation of the provincial councils”.
