A member of the political bureau of the Sadiqoon, Salem Al-Abadi, confirmed on Friday that the “Nabni” coalition won first places in the local elections, proving the street’s satisfaction with what it presented during the last period, considering the presence of provincial councils as a valid case for their role in monitoring the governors.
Al-Abadi said during a televised interview that the existence of provincial councils is a valid condition for their role in monitoring the governors, explaining that the Nabni Alliance’s winning first place proves that there is satisfaction with what it presented during the last period.
Al-Abadi stressed the importance of cooperation between the governor and the provincial council during the coming period, as the provincial council must monitor, follow up, and correct the work of governors.
He added that the provincial councils must advance the service reality of their governorates, especially the southern ones, considering that the distribution of roles and powers is necessary between the provincial councils and the governors.
