The Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq issues a statement on the anniversary of Sovereignty Day and the removal of American forces from Iraq.

The Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq issued a statement today (Saturday)  on the occasion of the anniversary of Sovereignty Day and the removal of American forces from Iraq, and while saluting the strikes of the resistance men that are destroying the occupation bases, it called on the Iraqis to join forces with the just demands for the return of full sovereignty and to schedule an end to the foreign presence.
The movement stated in its statement that: On this day in 2011, the Iraqis achieved a great victory over the American occupation forces that perched on the land of our wounded country for more than eight years. The heroism and sacrifices of the Iraqi Islamic resistance, which confronted the usurping presence with its weapons and forced it to surrender, yielded results. Submitting to the Iraqi national decision to withdraw completely without leaving a military base that desecrates our pure land, and without a single American soldier obtaining diplomatic immunity that protects him from accountability in accordance with applicable Iraqi law.
The statement added that this great day was the day of sovereignty, liberation and actual independence for our beloved country, in which the Iraqis won the greatest victory in modern history in addition to the glorious twentieth revolution.
The movement expressed its deep regret that this great day was not given its right to be celebrated and honored, and the clear reason for us to downplay the importance of this day is the media blackout and the political conflicts raging at the time due to the refusal of some negligent and conspiring parties to leave the occupation forces.
The statement indicated that, on this dear national anniversary, we remember with great pride and honor those who have been credited with achieving Iraqi sovereignty, which we seek to complete and preserve, and they are the righteous martyrs of the Islamic resistance who gave their pure blood and pure souls in the face of the most powerful military force on the face of the globe and who made it suffer scourges for eight years. Years of resistance recognized by the enemy before the friend, and documented by the statements of the leaders of the brutal occupation in more than one place and occasion.
The statement continued, “On this great occasion – Sovereignty Day – which we see as a national holiday for the Iraqis, we extend to the honorable religious authorities that supported the resistance secretly and publicly with abundant thanks, appreciation and gratitude. We also congratulate all Iraqis and all the free and honorable people who supported and supported the honorable resistance, especially our brothers in the Islamic Republic of Iran.” And Hezbollah in Lebanon, who played a distinguished role in providing support, advice and support.
The movement also pledged, with the blood of the righteous martyrs and the sons of our dear Iraqi people, to continue protecting Iraqi sovereignty, and to force the occupier, who returned under the guise of fighting terrorism after the takeover by the takfiri ISIS groups supported by him, to be present on our land again, and who is still evading withdrawal despite the decision of the House of Representatives, the legitimate representative of the Iraqis. Which was issued three years ago.
and indicated that while we applaud the strikes of the men of the Islamic Resistance that are destroying the occupation bases, we call on our people to cooperate and join hands with the just demands for the return of full sovereignty, and we also affirm that the Iraqi government must set a specific timetable for a short period in which complete withdrawal will be achieved again. And restore full sovereignty to Iraq and Iraqis.
