The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, today (Thursday) condemned the American aggression that targeted one of the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the center of the capital and resulted in the martyrdom of the Deputy Commander of Baghdad Belt Operations and his companions and the wounding of a number of members. Moreover, the matter was considered a blatant violation of sovereignty, he called for The government called for taking decisive steps to end the presence of the so-called (international coalition) in Iraq.
Sheikh Al-Khazali said, in a blog post on the “X” website, that: In a blatant violation of pure blood, a blatant transgression against the security and sovereignty of Iraq, and an unacceptable act of terrorism, the occupying American forces targeted the Deputy Commander of Baghdad Belt Operations, the martyr Abu Taqwa Al-Saeedi, and his companion, the martyr Abu Sajjad the Commanders of the 12th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization Forces, and a number of members were injured, by drones that targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the heart of the capital, Baghdad.
His Eminence stressed that the American forces that committed this terrorist crime bear full responsibility for violating Iraqi sovereignty and attacking our Mujahideen brothers in the Popular Mobilization Forces.
His Eminence added that while we affirm that statements and denunciations are no longer useful in light of the repeated crimes and violations, we call on the Iraqi government to take decisive steps to end the presence of the so-called (international coalition) in Iraq, and to remove all occupying foreign forces as quickly as possible. And cut off the pretexts that the Americans use to prolong their presence on our land and in our skies.
His Eminence also stressed the necessity of holding these forces legally accountable for their crimes and violations.
