Al-Sultani identifies the reasons for not deciding the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives … The most prominent of which are Sunni disputes.

The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon, Suhaila Al-Sultani, on Sunday attributed the reasons for not deciding the appointment of an alternative to the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, while confirming that the most prominent of them is the escalation of differences between the forces of the Sunni component over the candidates for the position of Speaker of Parliament.
Al-Sultani said in a press interview, “All the blocs of the Al’atar Altansiqei have a certain vision regarding the names that have been nominated to succeed Al-Halbousi “noting that “most of the Sunni political forces have not reached a complete consensus on the candidates for the position of Speaker of Parliament”.
She continued, “Ending the differences within the Sunni component is an internal matter, and the Al’atar Altansiqei will not interfere in the nomination of people who will be voted on within the dome of Parliament,” adding that “the escalation of differences between the forces of the Sunni component regarding the candidates for the position of Speaker of Parliament”.
Al-Sultani added during her speech: “The continued failure to identify a person to assume the position of Speaker of Parliament will make Parliament tend to open the door for nominations and voting for the individuals who will also be nominated”.
