The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon, Ali Turki Al-Jamali, described on Sunday, what happened in the parliament session designated for voting on the presidency of the council as “shameful.” While he confirmed that the chaos that accompanied the holding of the session caused it to be postponed, he renewed his bloc’s refusal to nominate “Shalan Al-Karim” for the position of Speaker of Parliament because he Baathist and promotes Baathist ideas.
Al-Jamali said during a televised interview that the State of Law, Sadiqoun, Haqoq, and part of Sanad were the ones who had the intention to deliver a sermon rejecting the nomination of Shaalan Al-Karim, indicating that the reason for postponing the session was the chaos that occurred during the voting process, in addition to what happened in the session. Parliament to vote on the presidency of the Council is flawed and does not promote representatives elected by the people.
Al-Jamali stressed that he is not honored to be represented by Shaalan Al-Karim because he is a Baathist and promotes Baathist ideas, indicating that our counterparts in the political process from the Sunni component are either forgers, a Baathist, or a terrorist, while he considered that Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani is a patriotic man.
He stated that the Sunni component was the one who published the videos of the honorable Shaalan praising Saddam, stressing that he is a Baathist and we rejected for him the issue of supporting the oppressed over the oppressor.
Al-Jamali revealed that some of the deputies had their debts bought yesterday in the session to select the Speaker of Parliament and they are known by names and evidence, stressing that there was an exchange that took place for the remaining 13 votes to reach 165 votes, including members of the Al’atar Altansiqei who agreed with Shaalan Al-Karim, considering what happened yesterday. Political agreements, not the purchase of liabilities, despite the fact that Taqadum was the one who paid the sums to buy the Representatives liabilities.
