Al-Salhiy reiterates his rejection of the return of the remnants of the Baath Party to lead the senior positions in the Iraqi state.
The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon parliamentary bloc, Rafiq Al-Salhiy, expressed his rejection of the return of what he called the Baathist dictatorial regime once again to lead the senior positions in the Iraqi state.
Al-Salhiy said in a press interview, “After all the sacrifices we have made, we will remain committed to our principles and we will strive with honest national forces and figures not to empower the remnants of the Baath Party to preside over the House of Representatives”.
He added, “The Baath Party is conspiring and allied with ISIS and has no place in Iraq,” stressing that “there is no reconciliation with the Baathists after they committed unforgivable crimes against all Iraqi components”.
