Al-Baldawi reveals the real reasons behind Taqadum’s challenge to the validity of the session to elect the Speaker of Parliament.

The spokesman for the Al-Sadiqoon, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, revealed on Tuesday, a veiled goal for the Taqaddam Party regarding challenging the validity of the election session for the Speaker of the House of Representatives, indicating that the goal of the appeal before the Federal Court is to replace its candidate, Shaalan Al-Karim.
Al-Baldawi said in a press statement, “The problem that occurred during the session to elect a new speaker of the House of Representatives was caused by the Sunni forces because they did not agree on one or two candidates to compete for the position, which led to embarrassment to other political forces”.
He added, “The appeal submitted by the Sunni forces, especially the Taqadum coalition, to cancel the session to elect the Speaker of Parliament, which was adjourned, aims to replace the candidates after the Taqadum bloc realized that the chances of its candidate, Shaalan al-Karim, to win the position had become very weak”.
