The military spokesman for the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Jawad al-Talibawi, today, Saturday, considered the American attacks that targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces a serious violation of international norms and conventions. He added, while we realize that what the American administration is doing falls within the context of its attempts to weaken the role of Iraq in supporting the government and people of our people in Gaza with steadfastness and bravery, as they confront the sinful Zionist aggression, we affirm that our dear Iraq, with its mobilization and resistance, will remain the support and supporter of the valiant Palestinian resistance.
Al-Talibawi stressed that the resistance’s insistence on protecting Iraq’s sovereignty and defending the nation’s crucial issues, foremost among which is the Palestinian issue, will not be affected by these crimes, indicating that the firm and certain response will be to achieve what the honorable Iraqis seek in liberating their country from the presence of foreign combat forces under any pretext.
He also called on the national political forces and the three presidencies to take a position commensurate with the scale of the American attacks, and their position must be at the level of the sacrifices made by the Iraqi people.
