The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon, Habib Al-Halawi, revealed that there are American fears about Sheikh Adnan Faihan assuming the position of governor of Babylon. While he stressed that the Al-Sadiqoon seeks to serve the governorate, he considered that the success of the governors is attributed to the Shiite political experience.
Al-Halawi said during a televised interview that some “pressureists” are trying to target the governor of Babylon, through a small, paid group that is now demonstrating in the governorate, considering that the offensive language used in the demonstrations does not reflect the culture of Babylon.
He pointed out that America is afraid of Sheikh Adnan Fayhan taking over the governorate of Babylon, which he described as “the lion of Babylon.” While he stressed that the Al-Sadiqoon seeks to serve Babylon “and it has nothing but Fayhan,” he pointed out that the movement never fought a battle without winning it.
He added that the success of the governors is attributed to the Shiite political experience, pointing out that the dispute over the person of the governor is still continuing in Diyala, expressing his surprise at the nomination of a young man born in 1997 for the position of governor of Diyala, while he described the “Basra feast” incident in the distribution of governorates as “impudence”.
Al-Halawi stated that he was nominated as Minister of Labor in Abdul Mahdi’s government, but the Americans objected to that. While he explained that Sheikh Khazali directed the members of the movement to complete academic studies, he saw that “Sheikh Habib” is the closest title to him because it reminds him of the martyr Al-Sadr, stressing that the sons of The Al-Sadiqoon loves the Sadrist movement and they are all sons of the martyr Muhammad al-Sadr.
