Sheikh Khazali: The Shaabani uprising broke the barrier of fear imposed by the Saddam regime and marked the beginning of resistance to his project.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, confirmed today (Sunday) that the blessed Shaabani uprising embodied the heroism of our Iraqi people with all their diversities and classes, and their will to defeat the corrupt regime of the buried tyrant, and not to surrender to his oppressive policies.
Sheikh Khazali said in a tweet on the “X” platform that the Shaabani uprising broke the barrier of fear imposed by the Saddam regime after long years of oppression, deprivation, and the cultivation of abhorrent sectarianism among the people of one nation, and the adventures that squandered the country’s wealth, and claimed the lives of thousands of its people in reckless wars. It paved the way for foreign intervention in the country.
His Eminence explained that this uprising is the beginning of the resistance that almost achieved its goal, had it not been for the international conspiracy and media blackout that prepared the exterminated regime to regain control and commit the most heinous crimes of genocide against the patient, struggling Iraqi people.
