member of the political bureau of the Al-Sadiqoon, Saad Al-Saadi, confirmed on Tuesday, the intention of the Al’atar Altansiqei to form “strong” local governments during the next stage, and while indicating that the process of forming those governments will be quick, he revealed the existence of a political agreement to replace “all governors”.
Al-Saadi said during a televised interview that holding “local elections” is one of the important achievements of the Sudanese government and those behind it, indicating that despite some voices that tried to obstruct the elections, the Shiite Al’atar Altansiqei is heading towards forming “strong” local governments and in a time that will be faster than observers imagine.
Al-Saadi indicated that there was an agreement within the Shiite Al’atar Altansiqei in its last meeting to change “all governors,” especially in the three controversial governorates.
He added that the Shiite Al’atar Altansiqei wants to form “harmonious” local governments without problems because the political process is based on consensus between the blocs, while pointing out that the Al’atar Altansiqei will study the issue of successful governors and those who provided services.
Al-Saadi considered the talk about granting the Sadrist movement representation in local governments “media” only, while he explained that the 3 candidates for the presidency of Parliament will be replaced by new candidates.
