Al-Abadi: There is a political and popular consensus on removing American forces from Iraq and liberation from economic domination.

The Member of the Political of the Al-Sadiqoon, Salem Al-Abadi, confirmed today (Friday) the existence of a political and popular consensus on the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq. While he stressed the necessity of liberation from economic hegemony and American pressures, he pointed to the ability of the Iraqi forces to protect the country and its borders.
Al-Abadi said during a televised interview that Sudanese’s visit to Washington is not easy, stressing that the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq has become a necessary and sovereign matter that must be achieved.
He pointed out that there is American hegemony over Iraq that is no less important than military and economic, indicating that Iraqi oil imports go to the American treasury before coming to Iraq.
Al-Abadi expressed his hope to escape from American economic hegemony over Iraq, especially since America knows where Iraqi money is spent and is the one who determines business policy inside the country and tries to control the course of the government.
Al-Abadi also pointed out that there is a political and popular consensus on the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq, as the Iraqi security forces are ready and able to protect the country and its borders.
