Sheikh Khazali: We remember with pride their defense of their areas and their fighting together with the Popular Mobilization Forces … Congratulating the Yazidi New Year.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, today (Wednesday0 congratulated the members of the Yazidi component on the occasion of the Yazidi New Year, while praising their sacrifices in defending their areas during the liberation operations and fighting as one with the members of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Sheikh Khazali said in a blog post on the “X” platform: “On the occasion of the Yazidi New Year, we extend to our Iraqi Yazidi people our warmest congratulations and best wishes, wishing them happy days and lasting joys in an Iraq where goodness, peace and security prevail”.
His Eminence added: “On this occasion, we remember with pride and appreciation the sacrifices made by the Yazidis in defending their areas and fighting in unison with the people of the Holy Popular Mobilization Forces during the operations to liberate Sinjar district, which confirmed and strengthened the spirit of citizenship, and reflected the extent of their love and attachment to their land and homeland. We also strongly condemn, “The tragedies they were subjected to at the hands of ISIS terrorist gangs, which committed the most heinous crimes against humanity against them”.
Sheikh Khazali concluded his post by saying: “Happy New Year to the Yazidis and peace among their brothers and their people of all components and sects”.
