The Representative from the Al-Sadiqoon, Hassan Salem, considered the approval and legislation of the law against prostitution and homosexuality by the House of Representatives a victory for Islam. We affirm that its passage is considered a stab at the Great Satan who wanted to spread deviant ideas in Iraqi society and legislation that limit the phenomenon of corruption and recover stolen funds.
Salem said, during a press conference inside the House of Representatives, that “approving and legislating the homosexuality law is a victory for Islam and a victory for values, chastity, and honor, and for Iraqi society and the seminary,” indicating that “Iraqi society was raised on the basis of values, morals, and nobility, and it cannot be tainted by such anomalies” .
He added, “Enacting the law is considered a stab at the Great Satan who wanted to spread homosexuality in this society, which is a society of resistance, a society of morals, a society of values, and the society of Imam Ali and Imam Hussein, peace be upon them,” directing his thanks to “the Iraqi people, the presidency of the Council, the members of the Legal Committee, and all The participating forces for their insistence and cooperation in passing the law”.
Salem also reiterated that “your sons, members of the Iraqi Parliament, stand with all legislation that respects the Iraqi people and is based on high values and nobility”.
