The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, praised today (Sunday) the efforts of the House of Representatives in voting on the first amendment to the law against prostitution and homosexuality, and in what he considered an important step to protect the value structure of society, he denounced the statements issued against him, considering them interference in the matter The Iraqi.
Sheikh Al-Khazali said in a blog post on the “X” platform, that he appreciates and congratulates the brothers in the Iraqi Parliament for their vote on the first amendment to the Anti-Prostitution Law No. (8) of 1988, which is considered a necessary and important step to protect the value structure, cultural identity, and Islamic constants of Iraqi society.
His Eminence pointed out that enacting this law at this time when some countries and institutions are working to spread decadence, disintegration, and moral abnormality in a clear attack on human nature and a clear violation of the family structure and the structure of society, is a necessary step to protect our sons and daughters, and thus our society, from these dangers.
His Eminence added by saying: While we affirm that the legislation of this law fully complies with the spirit and texts of the Iraqi Constitution, we denounce the statements issued against it, and consider them an interference in Iraqi affairs and a clear adoption of targeting society, given the great threat these projects contain to it.
Sheikh Al-Khazali also stressed that the legislation of this law is in the highest interest to protect our children from the calls for dissolution that are now invading the countries of the world, so that it will be an impenetrable barrier to anyone who tries to export this phenomenon that is alien to our Muslim society, and which many Western countries are trying to establish in our society, within a well-thought-out plan. Its goal is to fragment Iraqi society with all its components and foundations, the most important of which is the moral and Islamic ideological foundation of which we are proud.
His Eminence continued, “This law provides a firm and clear legislative cover to deter these acts and those who promote them, and addresses the deficiency in legal and judicial legislation”.
