The representative of the Al-Sadiqoon, Zainab Al-Moussawi, considered on Saturday, the UN Security Council’s vote to end the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) an important step for the government, calling on it to work to free Iraq’s funds frozen in American banks and end Washington’s control over the national economy.
Al-Moussawi said in a tweet on the “X” platform that the UN Security Council’s vote to end the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) is one of the most important steps taken by the Sudanese government.
He added, “On this national occasion, we call on the Prime Minister to work diligently and immediately to begin liberating the Iraqi funds frozen in the US Federal Bank, estimated at billions of dollars”.
Al-Moussawi called for an end to Washington’s control over the national economy to build a state worthy of the reputation of a country more than 7,000 years old.
Al-Moussawi confirmed that America worked to abort any urban, service, and investment projects, including electrical energy projects, by obstructing agreements with the German company Siemens and keeping the contract with the American company General Electric, indicating that because of it, Iraq is suffering from a stifling national energy crisis, and there is a lot of talk about other obstacles, including them.
