Al-Halawi confirms his rejection of the American statements against the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and considers them interference in Iraqi affairs.
The head of the Al-Sadiqoon parliamentary, Representative Habib Al-Halawi, confirmed on Saturday that the Iraqi Parliament rejected the statements made by US Representative Mike Waltz towards the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, considering them blatant interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.
Al-Halawi said in a blog post on the “X” platform that the statements of US Representative Mike Woltz towards the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council “are not satisfactory” and are considered a violation of international diplomatic norms and interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.
He added, “We in the legislative authority reject these provocative interventions, stressing that the Iraqi judiciary is a red line and we do not allow violations that affect Judge Faiq Zaidan”.
Al-Halawi also called on the Iraqi Foreign Ministry to issue a statement of condemnation and preserve the prestige of the judicial authority in Iraq.
