The head of the Al-Sadiqoon parliamentary, Habib Al-Halawi, on Friday criticized the governmental and political silence regarding Turkish violations of Iraq’s sovereignty and its continuation of its aggression against its northern regions, calling for a firm stance towards these violations and investing in the economy card to pressure Ankara to stop its violations.
Al-Halawi said in a blog post on the “X” platform: There is governmental and political silence regarding what is happening in Dohuk regarding the renewed bombing of our people in Dohuk Governorate, indicating that there is no federal or regional position towards the Turkish forces.
He added that the continued Turkish violations made these areas seem like their colonies, and from time to time, many martyrs fall, whether from the people of the region or from tourists in the governorates.
Al-Halawi considered what is happening to be a violation of national sovereignty, which must be taken into account and a firm decision taken towards Turkey, with which trade has reached more than 20 billion dollars of its products, which it markets to our country, pointing out that today it has a hand that takes our money, and a hand that kills the Iraqi people.
