A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee for the Al-Sadiqoon, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, confirmed today, Wednesday, his committee’s intention to form a specialized committee to uncover the circumstances of the targeting of the Popular Mobilization Forces positions in Jurf Al-Nasr, considering the matter a clear assault on national sovereignty.
Al-Moussawi said during a televised interview that the Popular Mobilization Forces are a national force that preserved the unity of Iraq, and America is very disturbed by its presence.
Al-Moussawi stated that the Security and Defense Committee will form a committee to find out the circumstances of the targeting of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Jurf al-Nasr, considering that this matter represents a clear assault on sovereignty, and the resistance factions will have a free hand and will respond fiercely to the American attack in Jurf al-Nasr.
He added that America is accustomed to lying and cannot be a friend of Iraq, especially since it is targeting the Iraqi economy and threatening security with ISIS.
