The spokesman for the Sadiqoon parliamentary, Mohammed Al-Baldawi, confirmed on Saturday that the downing of the Turkish plane in Kirkuk Governorate is conclusive evidence that the Turkish side is not serious about implementing security cooperation agreements with Iraq, pointing out that Turkish policy and its American counterpart do not differ in essence in their claim to cooperate with the Iraqi government.
Al-Baldawi said, “The Turkish ambitions for expansion and expansion on Iraqi lands are still an Ottoman dream nesting in the head of the Turkish government, which can, with Iraq, implement the policy of control in the manner in which it does so”.
He added, “The incident is a new violation of Iraqi sovereignty and evidence of the Turkish side’s insistence on not respecting the agreements and covenants it made with Baghdad”.
