Al-Halawi announces his support for a fair trial in the “theft of the century” case.
The head of the Sadiqoon bloc in the House of Representatives, Habib al-Halawi, announced today, Sunday, his full support for the call of His Eminence Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, and his support for The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, to conduct a fair and comprehensive trial in the major corruption case known as the “theft of the century”.
Al-Halawi stressed, in a tweet on the “X” platform, that the “theft of the century” case has exhausted the national economy, and the Iraqi people deserve to know the full truth.
Al-Halawi indicated his full confidence in the fair Iraqi judiciary to achieve justice and protect citizens’ rights.
Al-Halawi also stressed his commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at exposing corruption and holding those involved accountable without leniency.
