The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, stressed on Thursday that Yemen is of great importance to him personally and to all Muslims, explaining by saying: “In terms of Islam, Yemen was the first to voluntarily convert to Islam to the Messenger of God (may God bless him and his family), and in terms of loyalty to Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), Yemen was among the first to be loyal to him. Faith and wisdom were also described as being Yemeni, which reinforces Yemen’s pivotal role in Islamic history”.
His Eminence stated during a televised interview that Yemen in the narrative heritage has a fundamental role in the equation of the state of divine justice, represented by the character of the Yemeni, who will have a major role in the blessed appearance of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) and the establishment of his state, stressing that between the honorable past and the bright future, Yemen is now living a reality of pride, steadfastness and honor, pointing out that what the Yemeni people are currently achieving, under the leadership of Ansar Allah and Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, is a bright page that every Arab and Muslim is proud of.
His Eminence Sheikh Al-Khazaali sent a message of support to the Yemeni people, saying: “I ask God to grant you more success, steadfastness and pride, as what you are doing will preserve the role of many Arabs.” He pointed out that the Arab role, unfortunately, has been absent in issues in which they should have had a strong presence, especially with regard to the Palestinian cause and the battle to defend Al Quds.
Speaking about Palestine, His Eminence Sheikh Al-Khazaali stressed that the battle for Gaza and the defense of Al Quds is a battle that concerns the entire Islamic nation, not just the Arab nation. He said: “This battle is a duty for everyone, and if enough Muslims confront it, everyone will be safe, otherwise everyone will be sinful.” He stressed that the battle between truth and falsehood has become clear and evident, and that what is happening in Gaza today reveals in an unprecedented way the conflict between these two parties.
He pointed out that Yemen is today at the forefront of the Gaza battle, through its confrontation with the Zionist entity and its support for the Palestinian cause, which everyone is proud of. He considered that the Yemeni role in the Gaza battle cannot be compensated for, saying: “If the Yemenis were not present with this degree of strength and clarity, the results of the battle would have changed greatly in other directions”.
His Eminence also touched on the movements supporting the Palestinian cause in European countries and even in the United States of America, pointing out that there are young people and students whose human conscience is stirred, even though they do not belong to Islam and do not believe in the Quran. In contrast, he expressed his regret over the Arab and Islamic position of inaction, saying: “Unfortunately, we find that the position of the Islamic nation, especially the Arab nation, is one of prostration, inaction, and submission to those who have wronged”.
His Eminence Sheikh Khazali also pointed out that the axis of resistance in the Islamic Republic, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen, is now at the heart of the direct confrontation inside Gaza, and that this axis is playing its role with great effectiveness in support and assistance, which will achieve victory, God willing. He added: “We cannot justify silence regarding what is happening in Palestine. This issue goes beyond the boundaries of religion, it is a humanitarian issue, and a struggle between truth and falsehood”.
His Eminence explained that there are many reasons for the global silence regarding what is happening in Gaza, including the intensive media campaign, the role of Arab rulers in misleading their people, and the use of security force. However, he stressed that all these factors explain the silence, but do not justify it, pointing out that the free peoples in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Iran, and even in the West, are rising up in defense of the right, while others stand in complete silence.

His Eminence Sheikh Al-Khazaali stressed that the Holy Quran was explicit in forbidding inclination towards those who are unjust, citing Quranic verses that warn against befriending Jews and Christians, such as the Almighty’s saying: “And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire touch you,” and the Almighty’s saying: “O you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies rather than the believers.”
He added: “The Jews at the time of the Prophet were under the rule of Islam, and they had their rights as long as they adhered to the laws of Islam, but the situation now is much deeper, as it is a conflict between faith and unbelief”.
Sheikh Al-Khazaali touched on the clear penetration of political and cultural institutions in the Islamic world by the Zionist lobby, pointing out that some Arab rulers depend on the Zionists to ensure their continued rule, and that some of them may be of Jewish origin. He explained that the absence of conscious elites who stand up to them has exacerbated the problem, but he stressed that there is awareness in the Islamic and Arab conscience that resists this stagnation.
In conclusion, His Eminence Sheikh Al-Amin stressed that the axis of resistance confronting the Zionists today relies on an authentic approach based on the Holy Quran and the Ahlul Bayt (Peace be upon them), which is the approach that was able to confront the arrogance of the world. He concluded by saying: “This Islamic guidance is counted on for great good, and it is what now stands in the way of this equation supported by global arrogance, and we hope that victory will be the ally of this approach with the help of God”.
