Al-Jamali criticizes the policies of the region… No talk about the constitution without the Peshmerga’s commitment to the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Ali Turki Al-Jamali, a representative of the Sadiqoon, criticized on Monday, the Kurdistan Region’s policies regarding the control of the Peshmerga forces and their failure to submit to the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces.
Al-Jamali said in a post on the “X” platform: “There is a great difference between the jurisprudence of the constitution and the jurisprudence of the deceased, and there is a great difference between someone who sheds blood to preserve the constitution and someone who sheds the blood of soldiers to seize control of Makhmur”.
He added: “Whoever respects the law and the constitution must allow the army, which is the homeland’s wall, to protect its citizens instead of allowing the Turkish army to infiltrate, and allow the Ministry of Interior to extend its control over the ports, and the Ministry of Oil to invest the people’s wealth instead of it being stolen to become palaces and accounts in Western banks”.
Al-Jamali referred to Article 121, Paragraph Five, of the Iraqi Constitution, which grants the regional authorities the authority to establish and organize internal security forces, stressing that the responsibility of these forces is to maintain internal security, not to form armies armed with heavy weapons under American pressure.
At the end of his tweet, Al-Jamali challenged the Kurdistan Regional Government, saying: “I challenge the region to have its president or prime minister announce the obedience of the Peshmerga to the orders of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. Then I will withdraw all my previous statements and offer an official apology, otherwise let those who speak about the constitution but do not implement it be ashamed”.
