Sheikh Khazali remembers President Jalal Talabani and his role in leading the new Iraq … On the seventh anniversary of his passing.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, recalled today (Thursday) the former President of the Republic, Mr. Jalal Talabani, and his role in the country’s political process after 2003, coinciding with the seventh anniversary of his passing.
Sheikh Al-Khazali said in a post on the “X” platform, that on the seventh anniversary of the passing of former President of the Republic, Mr. Jalal Talabani, we proudly remember his wise leadership and his prominent role in establishing political stability and strengthening national dialogue in the country.
His Eminence pointed out that the late President Jalal Talabani was a statesman who worked tirelessly to bring together the Iraqis of all sects, leaving an influential mark in supporting peaceful coexistence between the components.
His Eminence also stressed that his political legacy, represented by Mr. Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, will remain present in every step towards building a unified democratic Iraq, and will remain a symbol of patriotism and insightful vision that Iraq needs to confront current challenges.
