The head of the Sadiqoon, Habib al-Halawi, called Today (Saturday) on the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intervene urgently and immediately to stop the repeated arrests carried out by the Saudi authorities against Iraqi pilgrims and Umrah performers.
Al-Halawi said in a post on the “X” platform that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry is required to intervene urgently and immediately to stop the repeated arrests carried out by the Saudi authorities against Iraqi pilgrims and Umrah performers, which are carried out under unjustified and unprecedented pretexts, and which were recently represented in the arrest of 21 Iraqi citizens.
Al-Halawi stressed that “these arrests represent a clear violation of the rights of Iraqi citizens,” calling on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to “assume its full responsibilities in protecting Iraqis abroad and ensuring that such incidents do not recur”.
