Al-Halawi congratulates Al-Mashhadani on his election as Speaker of Parliament and expresses his aspiration for an effective role in achieving legislative achievements.

The head of the Sadiqoon bloc, Habib al-Halawi, offered his congratulations on Thursday, the election of Mr. Mahmoud al-Mashhadani as Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament. He pointed out that resolving this issue represents a prominent step that confirms Iraq’s commitment to the democratic path it is pursuing.
Al-Halawi said in a post on the “X” platform that choosing Al-Mashhadani reflects the efforts of the House of Representatives to promote democratic values ​​and support legislation that meets the aspirations of the Iraqi people and contributes to the stability and prosperity of the country.
Al-Halawi expressed his aspiration for an effective role for the new president in leading the parliament towards achieving legislative accomplishments that keep pace with the process of construction and development and unify national ranks to face challenges.
Al-Halawi also expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandlawi for his wise management of the Council during the past period, stressing that his efforts had played an important role in achieving many national gains.
