Zahra Al-Bajari, head of the Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee for the Al-Sadiqoon, confirmed that the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, bid farewell to Iraq today at the end of her official duties, which she began and concluded with a series of blatant violations that confused the Iraqi scene.
Al-Bujari pointed out that the American ambassador acted during her tenure as if she were a high commissioner and guardian of Iraqi affairs, which was met with categorical rejection by the Al- Sadiqoon parliamentary bloc on several occasions.
Al-Bujari added that the Sadiqoon was the first to confront the ambassador’s suspicious interference, as it collected the signatures of 52 representatives to summon the Iraqi Foreign Minister and demand an end to these interferences that have no connection to her diplomatic role.
Al-Bujari explained that Ambassador Romanowski’s aggressive approach and her repeated attempts to weaken the role of the Iraqi Islamic resistance factions through suspicious interference in the Iraqi political scene, is an unacceptable behavior.
She stressed that the new ambassador, Tracy Jacobson, must realize that the continuation of any hostile policies towards the resistance factions will only be met with popular and political rejection, stressing that Jacobson’s previous statements about fighting the Iraqi resistance factions will fail.
Al-Bujari pointed out that the Iraqi Islamic Resistance is the one that achieved the major victories, liberated the land, and protected Iraq, while the American role in Iraq remains widely rejected by all Iraqis.
It is worth noting that the duties of US Ambassador Alina Romanowski officially ended today.
