The Deputy of the General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sayyid Muhammad al-Tabatabai, met today (Tuesday) with several cadres of the movement’s organizational office at the office’s headquarters in Kirkuk Governorate.
During the meeting, developments on the local scene were discussed, including political, economic and social issues of interest to the governorate.
His Eminence Sayyed Al-Tabatabai stressed the effective role played by the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq in supporting and facilitating the formation of the local government in Kirkuk and exercising its duties in a way that ensures the enhancement of security and stability in the city and the realization of the aspirations of its people to improve public services and increase job opportunities.
As part of his visit, His Eminence met with sheikhs and dignitaries of the Arab tribes in Kirkuk, where he listened to their demands, which focused on the necessity of resolving the personal status issue and abolishing Law 57, in order to achieve justice for all within the administrative borders of Iraq.
The meeting also discussed the importance of ensuring justice for the Arab component within the Shiite framework in the administrative divisions of the city of Kirkuk and ensuring that their rights are not marginalized.
At the end of the meetings, the tribal sheikhs and organizational cadres expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Eminence Sayyid Muhammad al-Tabatabai, conveying their greetings and salutations to His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali (may God glorify him), on behalf of all the people of Kirkuk, in appreciation of the movement’s role in serving the people of the province.
