Saad Al-Saadi, a member of the political bureau of the Sadiqoon, confirmed today (Monday) that the general amnesty law will not include terrorists and is within strict criteria.
Al-Saadi said in a press interview, “The general amnesty law has been codified and approved by consensus between all political parties and under the direct supervision of the Supreme Judicial Council, stressing that the law will not include any release of detainees who are criminals or terrorists”.
He explained that “this law came as a result of intensive consultations between various political forces, with full commitment to applying strict legal standards to prevent any violations or exploitation of the law in releasing perpetrators of serious crimes”.
He added, “All terrorists who committed crimes against the Iraqi people will be subject to a fair trial in accordance with the laws in force, and we will not allow any terrorists or those involved in acts of violence to be included in the law”.
