The spokesman for the Sadiqoon and deputy head of the parliamentary strategic planning committee, Mohammed Al-Baldawi, confirmed today (Wednesday) that the legal committee in the House of Representatives is about to finish discussions and audits of the service and retirement law for the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Al-Baldawi pointed out in a press statement that “the law has reached its final stages, especially after the legal committee voted on the law’s paragraphs,” stressing that “the main procedures related to it are complete”.
He explained that “the Popular Mobilization Law guarantees all the entitlements of members, similar to their counterparts in the Ministries of Interior and Defense, including retirement salaries, promotions, and the rights of the wounded,” adding that “the law will be included in the agenda of the House of Representatives during the next legislative session”.
It is noteworthy that the Popular Mobilization Authority law was read twice, but its passage was hindered due to its inclusion within a group of controversial laws.
