Sheikh Al-Khazali discusses with the President of the Republic the challenges facing Iraq at the current stage and ways to confront them.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad today (Saturday) the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, where during the meeting, the challenges facing Iraq at the current stage and ways to confront them by strengthening the unity of the national position were discussed.
A statement issued by Sheikh Al-Khazali’s media office stated that the two sides stressed during the meeting the importance of unifying the national ranks and enhancing understanding between the various political forces to achieve the country’s supreme interests.
The statement added that the two sides discussed the efforts made to achieve internal stability, as a basic pillar for improving the country’s situation and meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
For his part, the President of the Republic called for adopting a comprehensive national discourse that reflects the spirit of belonging to the homeland and unites ranks in facing common challenges, stressing the role of political forces in consolidating the concept of national partnership.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed on the necessity of continuing dialogue and coordination between the various parties to achieve the supreme national interests and overcome the current challenges, in a manner that reflects the aspirations of the Iraqi people for a better future.
