“Even the one sitting on his throne met his end fighting against the most brutal tyrants.” With these words we bid farewell to a man who stood tall in the face of injustice, defying the tyrants of the age who tried to subdue his will and break his resolve. A man who drew his strength from the simplicity of life and the purity of the soul, and who took the Qur’an as a method and death as a path to achieving justice.
The chair he sat on was nothing but a symbol of legendary steadfastness, a witness to an unequal confrontation between light and darkness. His steadfast mind and unwavering faith were weapons more powerful than all those of his enemies. His opponents were sons of cruelty and shadows, living in the darkness of terrorism and takfir, but they failed to reach a spirit that refused to bow.
Before he ascended as a martyr, he used to repeat the verse of victory and faith: “Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves.” These were not words he recited in vain, but rather a constitution with which he concluded his life full of determination and steadfastness.
For centuries, the followers of extremist ideology have passed on the legacy of murder and bloodshed, polluting their souls with hatred and malice. But the martyr was different; he did not fear them or bow down to them. He knew that God had exempted him from physical jihad, but he chose to fight the battle of thought and spirit, believing that an honorable death is superior to a life of humiliation.
Jamil al-Hasan, who had neither beauty nor goodness in him, was a symbol of ugliness and cruelty. His dark face and foul odor revealed the hideousness of tyranny. This executioner tried to undermine the martyr’s dignity with his poisonous words, but he faced a different response. The martyr’s gray hair, crowned with dignity, responded with a smile of pride and arrogance that shook the tyrants’ arrogance. A smile that carried a clear message: “Where is the change that you claim, oh sons of the freed? Where are your promises that you have left behind only destruction? We die with dignity, and you live in humiliation”.
The scene of his martyrdom was a resounding cry in the face of tyranny. They tried to humiliate him, but he raised the heads of all free people. They thought that death would break his voice, but he turned his martyrdom into a platform for truth and dignity, reminding us that resisting falsehood requires nothing but sincere will and steadfastness in principles.
To all those who remain alive, remember the last words of the martyr: “O God, if this pleases you, then take until you are satisfied.” It was not just a prayer, but a message of trust for future generations. Life is not about the number of days, but about our stances in the face of injustice.
Oh martyr, sleep in peace, for your memory is greater than to be forgotten, and your name is engraved in the register of immortals. The blood that was shed will not be in vain, but will remain a witness to an eternal struggle between truth and falsehood, and will be a source of inspiration for all who refuse to bow before tyrants.
To the oppressors and their supporters, know that even if you silence the voice of this hero, his words will continue to ring in your ears like thunder. You wanted to make him a lesson in fear, but he turned into a lesson in courage. You thought you were extinguishing a flame, but it ignited in the hearts of millions, becoming a beacon of freedom and dignity.
To the free everywhere, remember that freedom is not given, it is taken. Remember that this martyr was not just an individual, but an idea and a principle, and they are more powerful than any weapon or tyrant. He taught us that standing up for what is right, even if the price is life, is the only way to make real change.
Finally, to the nation that gave birth to him, live up to his legacy. Do not let his blood go to waste, but rather use it as fuel to complete the journey. The battle between darkness and light is not over, and the legacy left by the martyr is everyone’s responsibility.
May God have mercy on this martyr, and grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and make us among those who carry the banner of truth after him, until God’s promise of victory for His righteous servants is fulfilled.
