The representative of the Sadiqoon, Zainab Al-Moussawi, revealed Today (Sunday) that the Kurdistan Region received financial amounts in 2024 that are more than the salaries allocated in the general budget for its employees, at a time when Erbil has not delivered non-oil revenues, the value of which amounts to 4.350 trillion dinars.
Al-Moussawi confirmed, in a post on the “X” platform, that Erbil has not handed over its oil revenues either, including its share of oil produced by foreign companies that is sold within the region or smuggled abroad.
Al-Moussawi explained that this situation constitutes a new corruption scandal that haunts Kurdistan’s oil exports, reflecting major challenges in managing national wealth.
She added that transparency and accountability are not just slogans, but an urgent necessity to end waste and guarantee the rights of the entire Iraqi people.
